The suspect accused of killing a Rice basketball player after a night of partying at a Northgate bar has been released on a $200,000 bail.

Brazos County Sheriff officials say Ronald Johnson Jr. bonded out Saturday night around 9 p.m.

The 23-year-old College Station resident was arrested last week and charged with the murder of Johnathan Bailey.
Johnson is a United States Marine.

Police say Johnathan Bailey was celebrating his 22nd birthday with his twin brother, when an altercation led to a fight outside of the V Bar.

Johnathan died after being stabbed in the chest. His brother, Janson, who was also stabbed, survived.

An attorney involved in the investigation says Johnson may have been coming to the aid of a fellow marine.

College Station police are still investigating.
