Saturday brings another chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms to the Brazos Valley. During the afternoon hours, scattered areas of rain and storms could develop in the daytime heat (30%). A line of rain and thunderstorms will be possible between sunset and midnight -- moving in from the north & west. If these storms can reach the area, they could pose a localized flooding & damaging wind threat.
The City of Bryan could be one step closer to a west-side fire station come Tuesday.
The council is expected to hear a presentation by Brown Reynolds Watford Architects, Inc. during their workshop meeting.
The presentation is in regards to the design and cost for construction of the station.
During the regular council meeting, council members will consider having the the mayor sign a contract with the architects.
The estimated cost of Fire Station Number Five is $3 million.
It's expected to be finished by October 2008.
Also on Tuesday's agenda, during executive session the council is slated to seek legal advice regarding the structure and function of the Bryan Business Council.
