In light of recent attacks on elderly women, the Leon County towns of Centerville and Marquez have formed neighborhood watch groups.
Eight women across the state have been attacked, some have been robbed and sexually assaulted.
The community watch group in Centerville is meeting Monday evening at 6 p.m., at Home Sweet Home Healthcare.
Because the suspect cuts home phone lines, the Leon County Sheriff's Office is accepting donated cell phones. Investigators said the phones will go toward elderly women without a phone line, and will only dial 911.
