Over a period of four days College Station has seen nearly 40 burglaries. Anything from GPS systems to inspection stickers have gone missing.
Most of the burglaries happened around Holleman and George Bush Drive East. One College Station man took matters into his own hands when he realized his property was being stolen.
Miguel Rodriguez used his home surveillance system to capture a man who was stealing equipment from his business. Rodriguez turned his video over to College Station Police. Detectives are investigating cases for theft and criminal mischief.
"You just have to be careful what you leave in your vehicles now, you know? It's not safe to leave books even, you know, because they can take them to the corner place and sell them," says Rodriguez.
Rodriguez says the cameras have helped police catch people stealing several of his yard decorations as well.

You can't use video cameras to catch criminals such as red light runners. burglars, shoplifters etc. this is wnat the citizens of CS want, right?
Miguel Rodriguez shot the thieves with his video camera. I would have shot the thieves with my 12-gauge.
The larger the town gets the more this will happen.
