A group of Texas A&M students is asking people to drink only water for the next two weeks for a good cause.
They're part of the Wells Project, which is an effort to raise money for drinking wells in Africa. The students will then take the money that could have been spent on drinks and donate it to Living Water International, an organization that builds wells in Africa.
This is the fourth year for the Wells Project and last year the students raised $18,000.
"The average person spend about five dollars a day on drinks that aren't water. So if they do it (don't drink) for two weeks, that is $70! It does add up a lot and since every dollar that you donate gives one person water for one year, it really does add up," said Eric Newman with the Texas A&M Wells Project.
The Wells Project will cap the fundraiser with a concert at First Baptist Church in Bryan from Shane and Shane on November 12th.

Great work, A&M! We should get something like this started here at Mizzou.
I'm a member of this organization and we are so thankful to have had some coverage if you are interested in coming to the concert or giving to The Wells project please contact us at twptamu@gmail.com
This is a great project and the students are looking farther ahead than just the next school break. They are devoted to working problems world wide -- a great indicator of their futures!
