A former Brenham investment banker has been sentenced to more than four years in federal prison for embezzling more than $1.5 million from mostly elderly Guaranty Bank patrons.

Faithauer's embezzling victims ranged in age from 59 to 95 and some of them are now deceased.

34-year-old, Anthony Brent Faithauer was granted bond and will surrender to the U-S Marshalls once a time, date and location have been designated.

In Austin Tuesday, Faithauer pleaded guilty in U-S District Court and was ordered to pay restitution and after his release from federal prison, he'll be on probation for five years.

While working for about five years as an investment banker, authorities say Faithauer gained access to customer accounts and illegally moved money from their accounts.

I think he has a relative that works at THE EAGLE. Is that why I never saw an article in the paper about this?
