Thousands of moms and dads are flooding the streets of College Station to take part in the annual Parents' Weekend at Texas A&M University.
Starting Friday and continuing through Sunday, the University will be hosting several events on campus that give a taste of Aggieland. The Aggie Mom's Boutique kicks off the three-day event. Moms will showcase crafts and gifts during the fair at Reed Arena. It starts Friday and runs through Saturday.
Participants at the Midnight Yell Practice could be sharing Aggie pride with US Secretary of Defense and former A&M University President Robert Gates. Organizers of the event say he is scheduled to be in attendance.
Another big highlight of the weekend is the annual Maroon and White game. The Aggie football team will give parents and other spectators the chance to preview the talent for the upcoming season The game begins at 2 p.m. at Kyle Field.
