***Update** A Brazos County jury Wednesday afternoon notified the judge they were split 10-2 in the Dana Rene Munyon daycare case.
Earlier in the day, the jury said the count was 7-5, the same as it was Tuesday night. Judge Travis Bryan then told the jury they must continue deliberations.
The jury did not indicate which way the majority was leaning after Judge Bryan instructed them to keep that information to themselves.
Munyon is charged with causing severe head injury to Alexis Verzal in April 2008.
The jury was given the case Tuesday afternoon.
News 3's Karla Castillo is at the Brazos County courthouse covering the case and will have more on the jury's decision as it becomes available.
