A world renowned physicist made his way to Aggieland for an out of this world presentation.

Stephen Hawking known for his best-selling books about the universe and his theories on black holes, entertained hundreds in Rudder Auditorium with a special lecture, The Origin of the Universe.

Hawking is no stranger to Aggieland, this was his second visit in the past four years.

The event was part of A&M's Physics Festival 2007.

After Hawking's speech, physics enthusiasts enjoyed a hands-on exhibit featuring telescopes, working models of historic artillery and a homemade hovercraft. The displays illustrated basic scientific concepts and principles.
