FORT HOOD (November 18, 2009)—Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin will visit Fort Hood next month as part of a national tour in support of her new book, “Going Rogue,” the Wall Street Journal reports.
The Journal reports that the event has not been announced publicly and is not included on the preliminary tour schedule and quotes Palin’s publicist as saying the 2008 Republican vice presidential candidate had already agreed to visit the post.
After the Nov. 5 shooting, the post contacted Paln’s publisher and said she should stick with plans for the appearance, the Journal reported.
The Fort Hood visit will be on Dec. 4, the same day as a scheduled appearance at Legacy Books in Plano.
A time and place for the Fort Hood appearance hasn’t been announced, but the appearance in Plano is from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Dec. 4.
Hundreds of people lined up at a Michigan bookstore for a chance to meet Palin as she kicked off the national tour.
Some people camped out overnight to be among the first to get wristbands Wednesday morning from the Barnes and Noble bookstore in Grand Rapids.
The orange bands will give them an opportunity to get Palin to sign their copies of her new book, which was released Tuesday but has topped bestseller lists for weeks.
Barnes and Noble spokeswoman Maddie Hjulstrom said for security reasons, she could not say how many people are expected at the book signing.

Facts? No wonder you guys lost the past two elections. You're all living in fantasyland, and people are no longer buying the fear you sell. Looks like it's going to be the same in 2010.
We'll see JW. Obama got elected because alot of misguided people thought that he was cool. When those people get jammed paying for healthcare for illegal aliens and lazy people that don't want to work your party will get absolutely obliterated in the 2010 elections. Have fun with your Obama bumper sticker for now. It's your turn, but not for long.
