Both the Bryan and College Station Independent School Districts say they are ready for an on-campus crisis.
Bryan ISD officials say they have a crisis management plan.
Staff frequently go over scenarios, and certain personnel are assigned to react in case of an emergency.
College Station ISD says it would do the same, and is ready to lock-down each campus if necessary.
"We made preparations so that we can evacuate our buildings if we need to," Eddie Coulson, Superintendent of College Station ISD said. "What we do is in preparation for things that we hope never happen."
Officials with both schools say student safety is their top priority.
