Candidates for Bryan City Council and the Bryan school board were given the opportunity to make their voices heard Wednesday evening.
Topics ranged from education, to diversity, and the local economy.
Candidates for precinct two had differing views on the impact of one major university.
"Everybody when they talk about Bryan, they say we're apart of Texas A&M," said SMD 2 Candidate Karen Zimmerman-Gonzales. "We're Bryan, we're better than Texas A&M, we're better than College Station."
Opponent Mike Flores said, "I admire College Station it's got one of the greatest colleges in the world, Texas A&M. What we need to do is work with A&M to diversify some of that money over here."
The forum was hosted by the Sons of Hermann Hall, La Voz, and several other entities. Residents were given an up close look at the candidates and their platforms.
