It's a sight rarely seen at Texas A&M: burnt orange on campus. However, a maroon and orange combination is what many Aggies will be wearing Friday.
As part of what's being called the "Orange and Maroon Effect Day," students across the country will be honoring Virginia Tech in the wake of Monday's tragedy by wearing the school's colors.
A&M's student government will be creating special t-shirt to help in the effort. Proceeds will go to Virginia Tech, officials said.
The quickly-organized and wide-spread event comes by virtue of a sweeping online campaign through popular websites like Facebook.
