Saint Michael's Academy held its own memorial Friday to honor those who lost their lives in the Virginia Tech massacre.
Students and faculty gathered at the flag pole to hold a brief ceremony.
The school's bell tolled 32 times during the ceremony for the 32 victims who were killed Monday.
Sixth-grader, Emma Raleigh, wrote a poem that was read as part of Saint Michael's tribute.
A school official said they held their memorial at 11 a. m. to coincide with the memorial at Virginia Tech.
