One week after the Virginia Tech massacre, students at Prairie View A&M University will remember those who lost their lives.
A prayer vigil will take place from 7:15-9:30 a.m. Monday. The vigil will be open to clergy, community leaders, students, faculty, staff and the general public. Attendees will be encouraged to pray, meditate and reflect on the Virginia Tech University student deaths.
A Memorial Remembrance Ceremony will start at 9:30 a.m. Monday. Several students are slated to speak at the ceremony followed by a performance by the Baptist Student Movement Choir and words of inspiration from local ministers.
Both events will be held at the Johnson-Phillip All Faiths Chapel on the Prairie View A&M campus.
