A cold front will approach the Brazos Valley later today. Isolated areas of rain and thunderstorms could develop along and ahead of that front between mid-afternoon and early evening. Good news: rain & storm activity will be quick moving (1 hour or less). Bad news: a few severe thunderstorms are possible with large hail and strong, damaging winds being the main concern. A brief, isolated tornado threat cannot be ruled out, as well.
The White House replica at the George Bush Presidential Library officially opened to the public, appropriately by a past resident.
Former First Lady Barbara Bush was on hand Friday morning at the library to welcome visitors to an intimate tour of the scaled down version of the White House.
In attendance at the opening was comedian-actor Bob Newhart.
The White House replica will be on display at the library until January of next year.
