A FLASH FLOOD WATCH is in effect for Milam, Robertson, Leon Counties until 12am Monday and for Austin, Brazos, Burleson, Grimes, Houston, Madison, Montgomery,San Jacinto, Trinity, Walker, Waller, and Washington Counties until 12am Tuesday. Widespread 2" to 4" rain accumulations are possible through Monday, with localized 8" to 11" possible.
A Bryan woman was recovering Saturday night after officials say she lost control of her vehicle, flipping it several times.
The Brazos County Department of Public Safety says it happened around 2:30 p.m. Thursday on Highway 6 near Hearne.
Investigators say Helen Young was driving too fast when she lost control of her pick-up, veered off the roadway, and rolled about five times. Her truck finally came to a rest in a ditch.
The 45-year-old was taken to St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan, where she was listed in serious but stable condition Saturday night.
The accident caused traffic flow in the area to move slower for about an hour.
