Private School Students Fight To Stay Enrolled

A Tuesday hearing could determine whether eight Brazos Christian students get to finish the year at the private school. The students, from three families, have been dismissed from the school after accusing a teacher of making inappropriate comments.

An attorney for the families says five sets of parents complained to the school about the teacher's remarks. But Brazos Christian took action against only three families with the other two allowed to remain enrolled. Monday, attorneys for the families asked for a temporary injunction to keep the kids in school until the end of the semester. That hearing will continue Tuesday at 1:45 p.m. in the County Court-At-Law Number 2 courtroom. Brazos Christian School officials declined to comment tonight.
