Investigation Launched Into Montgomery Inmate Death

In custody for less than 48 hours, an inmate in Montgomery County has died.

Saturday, April 28, deputies arrested Elvis J. Ramirez, 23. He was charged with possesion of a controlled substance.

Early Sunday jail employees found Ramirez not breathing.

He was transported to the Conroe Regional Medical Center.

Late Monday afternoon Ramirez was pronounced dead.

The Texas Rangers, Montgomery County and D-P-S are all investigating.
