More than a year after a Bryan native was gunned down in Houston, two men have been convicted.
Joseph Dennis Lewis is charged with being the lone shooter in the murder of Michael Gutierrez. He was sentenced to life in prison Thursday, but has already appealed.
Shelton Strawder was found guilty of tampering with evidence. Investigators say he wiped out the bloody car Gutierrez was shot in.
Eyewitnesses say Gutierrez was pushed from that car into the parking lot of the Marq-E entertainment center in Houston. He died at the scene.
The 25-year old was supposedly in Houston to scout locations for his family business, House of Tires.
