The First Lady of Texas was on hand to congratulate the first wave of Texas A&M spring semester graduates.
Anita Perry delivered the keynote speech during graduation ceremonies at Rudder Auditorium. One hundred twenty eight students received their doctor of veterinary medicine degrees.
The state's first lady told the graduates, her Aggie husband wanted to make sure she was prepared to address his alma mater.
"Let's just say I received a little unsolicited advise. Over and over, and over again," Perry said.
Thursday's commencement exercise was the first of five that A&M will be holding over the next couple of days.
