A woman who arranged giving fake flu shots to hundreds of Exxon Mobil employees has been sentenced to five years' probation in a similar scheme at a nursing home.
Fifty-year-old Martha Denise Gonzales was also sentenced yesterday to six months of community confinement, which means living in a treatment center, halfway house, rehabilitation center or other community facility.
Gonzales had admitted her role in the fake shots at Exxon Mobil.
She pleaded guilty to health care fraud in connection with administering a fake vaccine at a nursing home. Prosecutors said she billed Medicare 522 dollars through her employer, a doctor unaware of the scam.
