A FLOOD WATCH has been issued for the following counties: Austin, Brazos, Burleson, Grimes, Houston, Madison, Montgomery, San Jacinto, Trinity, Waller, Walker & Washington counties through Thursday night. A FLASH FLOOD WATCH has been issued for Lee, Milam, Robertson & Leon counties through Thursday night. Widespread rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible through Thursday night. Some areas may even see totals of 5 to 7 inches of localized rainfall.
A Bryan man accused of inappropriate activity with a minor is among the indicted in Brazos County.
Troy Dieckert, 28, was arrested in March, accused of taking a 14-year-old College Station girl to a motel a few weeks earlier. There, they allegedly smoked marijuana, did lines of meth, and had sex.
After she alerted police, the girl placed a monitored phone call to Dieckert. Court documents show Dieckert asked the girl not to tell police of their encounter.
Dieckert faces two charges of sexual assault of a child.
Also indicted was Michael Downing, 29, accused of providing falsified documents to a local bank in order to obtain loans for building homes in the Castlegate area.
The bank eventually contacted the lender whose name was on the documents, only to learn the lender hadn't sent them.
Downing faces multiple second-degree felony charges.
