Suspect Arrested in CS Knife Attack

A week after he allegedly cut a woman's throat with a kitchen knife, a College Station man is behind bars.

Joe Curtis Tennell, 21, was arrested Sunday night in the 3300 block of South College Avenue by Bryan police.

College Station police were looking for Tennell after they say he took a knife to a female acquaintance and cut her throat during an argument.

The woman was taken to the hospital where she was treated for non life-threatening injuries.

Tennell has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, assault causing bodily injury, theft and failure to identify.

He's being held at the Brazos County jail on a $34,000 bond.
