Wrongful Death Suit Against A&M Could Be Settled

The Texas A&M System Board of Regents are on the Kingsville campus for the regular meetings.

Among the items of discussion is a possible settlement in the wrongful death lawsuit filed by the Ejaz family against Texas A&M. It was in late July of 2004 that a gas leak in the foreign student apartment complex killed the family's four-year-old daughter her grandmother.

A year-and-a-half later, the wrongful death suit was filed.

If the Regents approved, Interim University President Eddie Davis would be authorized to settle the suit.
