If you've ever attended an Aggie sporting event, you could count on three things: school spirit, lots of maroon and white, and Tex Wright somewhere in the crowd.

Tex and his wife Marjorie were as much a fixture at A&M games as the team itself. And along the way he made many friends and admirers for his quick wit, ever present smile and loyalty to Texas A&M. But come next season, the Aggie chorus will be missing one voice. Tex died at his Bryan home Saturday morning at the age of 94.

"Tex was a true Aggie in ever sense of the word," said former A&M Athletic Director John David Crow. "He was a great supporter and a great gentleman who will be sorely missed." A memorial service for M.F. "Tex Wright," A&M Class of '33, will be held Friday, June 1, 11 a.m. At First Presbyterian Church Bryan.
