A Temple woman was recovering Monday after her SUV overturned Sunday in Burleson County.
According to the Department of Public Safety, the one vehicle accident happened around 10 p.m. Sunday on Hwy 36 south of Caldwell.
Officials say six people were in the vehicle that was heading north to Temple, when the driver swerved to miss an animal in the roadway. The SUV reportedly flipped several times before coming to a rest in a ditch.
The driver, Marleni Diaz, was air-lifted to Scott and White in Temple for serious injuries. The five passengers were taken to the College Station Medical Center for minor injuries.
