A FLASH FLOOD WATCH is in effect until midnight for Lee County. Strong thunderstorms will continue to be possible, across the Brazos Valley, this evening. Winds in excess of 40-60mph are the main concern, within the strongest activity.Heavy rainfall between 1" and 3" has the potential to cause localized flash flooding in a few locations.
Members of Texas Task Force 1 have headed home after three days of rescue and recovery near San Antonio. The deactivation order was given at noon Tuesday, hours after a late night recovery effort on Cibolo Creek in Kendall County.
The Task Force was summoned to help find a canoeist who had been swept over a waterfall. The man's body was recovered downstream.
However the victim's son jumped from the canoe before the waterfall and managed to swim safely to shore.
