Aggies can keep up with the search for a new university president with the click of a mouse.
Texas A&M has created a link on its web site (linked below) that updates the search process for the 23rd president. It includes a letter from Doug Slack, the chair of the search committee, as well as a list of committee members. The site also offers a list of characteristics they are looking for in a new president.
"Everywhere I go, people corner me and ask me what's going on and where we are in the search process," Slack said. "This is one way to let them know that there is activity and a little bit about the process of the search."
According to the website, the committee's targeted appointment date is September 2007.
Ed Davis is currently serving as interim president.
