College Station authorities are looking for the owner of a pit bull that reportedly bit a park goer.
Police believe the incident happened Thursday evening at the Steeplechase dog park along Wellborn Road. The victim says the young dog approached her, acted aggressively, then bit her on the hand. Other patrons of the park asked the owner to leave.
The description of the dog's owner is limited. He is only described as a Hispanic male standing around 5'8". Park goers say he is a frequent visitor to the park.
If the animal's shot records cannot be verified, the victim will have to receive shots.
If you have any information, call College Station Police. Authorities say people with information should not hesitate bringing it forward because they think the animal will be harmed or taken away. They say their only desire is to make sure the bite victim is properly taken care of.
