Two Day Prostitution Sting Yields Big Results

A two day prostitution sting conducted by the Bryan Police Department's Directed Deployment Team (DDT) resulted in eight arrests.

Police say on Thursday and Friday, DDT targeted individuals soliciting prostitution from undercover officers and the middle men who promote prostitution.

Some of those arrested had outstanding warrants. Other charges included promotion of prostitution and possession of drug paraphernalia.

DDT targeted several areas of the city based on zone patrol officer observations and from information received from citizens. Police say DDT will continue these stings to eliminate street level prostitution from the streets of Bryan.
