HOUSTON - Normally hot and humid Houston is dealing with
weather it rarely gets: snow. Snow began falling Friday morning in Houston and other parts of southeast Texas and as of late Friday afternoon had not stopped.

National Weather Service meteorologist Charles Roeseler says
it's the earliest snow in Houston's history. The previous record
for Houston was Dec. 10 in 2008 and 1944.

Snow is rare for the nation's fourth largest city. In the past
15 years, it has snowed four times, including Friday.

The National Weather Service says there have been reports from
counties southwest of Houston of accumulations of 3 to 4 inches.
There have been reports of half an inch or less in Houston with
suburbs south of the city reporting 1 to 2 inches.

AS of 4:00PM Friday there were reports of snow on Galveston Island. Earlier in the day it had been snowing as far southwest as Victoria.

I was up in porter, northeast of Houston, to help a friend out when it hit. It was so amazing. I know it's just weather, but it was snowing so hard it reminded me of whenever my parents would take us as kids to Indiana for Christmas to see my grandparents. I had never seen it snow like that here. My 3 year old son would not stay in!

Sorry, but Eric is indeed correct, and there is no has has never been any "conspiracy" to hide contrary climatological data: http://www.realclimate.org/index.php/archives/2009/11/the-cru-hack/ Please remember to try and look at the big picture: the weather is __not__ the climate.

before you start telling people they are ignorant, you might want to read about the emails that have been found where scientists admit falsifying facts to reflect what the cap & trade folks want them to prove. There is no global warming, the earth is cooling, and man has nothing to do with it. Even if the earth was warming, we couldn't do anything about it, it's like trying to hold back the tides, you can't do it.
