Texas A&M Student's Plea Agreement Denied

A Texas A&M student will have to wait to learn his fate.
Corey Armstrong was set to plea Tuesday in the 361st district court.

Armstrong was indicted last year on 17 counts of child pornography.

Tuesday a plea agreement was offered to the court, which included sentencing Armstrong to 10 days in jail.
361st District Court Judge Steve Smith did not accept the agreement, saying the jail sentence was too short.
Prosecutors said Armstrong did not pose a future threat.

A new hearing has not been reset.

At the time of his arrest, Armstrong was listed as a member of Squadron 12 in the Texas A&M Corps of Cadets.
