MAGNOLIA, Texas -- Authorities say an illegal immigrant who had slit his wrist confessed to Magnolia police to sexually assaulting 13 children.
Mauricio Ojeda, 29, is held on a charge of indecency with a child. Ojeda told police about the assaults when they responded to the April 29 emergency call at his house.
Police Chief Ronald Cunningham said Ojeda had self-inflicted cuts and no pulse.
Ojeda was revived by medical personnel. He said he'd been "a bad boy" and had assaulted 13 children who'd also lived in the house.
Authorities say Ojeda lives with the mother of a seven-year-old victim. Police don't know the ages or identities of other victims.
The Houston Chronicle reports police are asking people to come forward to help.
Because of his illegal status, Ojeda is in federal custody in Houston. Bond is $50,000.
