A victim in a Grimes County accident the day after Christmas died in the hospital Wednesday.

At 4 p.m. on December 26, a northbound vehicle waiting to make a left turn on FM 244 just south of Iola was hit from behind and pushed into southbound traffic, where an oncoming jeep was hit.

A passenger in that jeep, 77-year-old HaydenArcher of Iola, was taken to St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan. He died Wednesday. Authorities say he was not wearing a seatbelt.

All others in the vehicles were not seriously injured.

When we pass judgment are we ready for judgment to be passed on us? Remember, 2 kids lost 2 grandparents, a teenager is in turmoil over this, and 2 people are recovering from injuries, so be respectful. My prayers are with all the families involved.

Mr. Archer did'nt wear a seat belt because he had a pace maker. You can get a permit if you have a pace maker.

Do ya think the outcome may have been different if he had been wearing his seatbelt?
