The search for the next Bryan Police Chief is down to a handful of finalists.
The nationwide search turned up five candidates, all with different backgrounds. Wednesday morning, the final five will be in Bryan for interviews with City Manager David Watkins.
Watkins says when it comes down to deciding on the right person for the job, he'll know it when he sees it.
"I call it the 'it' factor," Watkins said. "If you've been around police chiefs, some have the ability to project confidence, project leadership, and project experience and wisdom."
The day-long interview process is expected to begin Wednesday morning around 8:30. Tours will be given to out-of-town candidates after their interview.
