Some tense moments Thursday afternoon at the College Station water department's Dowling Road pumping station. Sensors detected a leak of potentially deadly liquid chlorine shortly after 2:30 p.m.
After the area was cleared, College Station's Hazardous Materials team entered the facility in full protective gear. They were able to locate and repair the source of the leak which turned out to be a valve on a chlorine cylinder.
No one was injured and everyone was back to work by 3:45 p.m.
