City growth is on the agenda Monday for the Navasota City Council.

Council members will consider a second reading of an ordinance clearing the way for annexation of almost 343 acres of land.

That could ultimately lead to five properties along Highway 90, Highway 6, and Business 6 becoming part of the city.

The city held public hearings on the proposed annexation in April.

At the time, some residents expressed concerns about paying city taxes, but not having access to all city services.
