College Station may be the next city to receive national recognition for its parks service.
Plano is the only city in Texas with a nationally accredited parks and recreation system, but College Station hopes to change that this year.
A visitation team from the Commission for Accreditation of Parks and Recreation Agencies (CAPRA) is in College Station this week to get a firsthand look at College Station's parks and programs and to review documentation.
The city hosted a social Tuesday night for CAPRA at Veteran's Park.
