Bryan authorities believe Monday night's fatal accident on FM 2818 involved a drunk driver.
Robert James, 25, was arrested for DWI after being taken to St. Joseph Regional Health Center for treatment for injuries suffered in the accident.
According to police, James was driving a white pick-up north on 2818 near Indepedence Avenue around 10:15 p.m. That's when he collided with a car making a turn onto the farm-to-market road.
The passenger in that car, 42-year-old Lisa Norman of Bryan, died at the scene.
The driver of the car, 27-year-old Bryan Sullivan, was also treated at St. Joseph for injures.
The investigation into the cause of the accident continues. If James is determined to have caused the accident, he could face intoxication manslaughter charges.
