Texas Task Force 1 Prepares for New Rains, Floods

After being deactivated late last week, Governor Rick Perry has once again called upon Texas Task Force 1 as rains once again threaten flood-ravaged portions of the state.

Four swift-water rescue teams have deployed to Parker and Eastland Counties in North Texas. An additional four were activated Monday to address potential issues in the New Braunfels area.

Last week, deployed task force teams performed numerous rescues in North and Central Texas.

Much more rain is forecasted for the state over this week. Rivers and lakes across the region are reaching their capacities.

In the New Braunfels area, Texas Task Force 1 are keeping their eyes on the Guadelupe and Brazos Rivers, which are close to overflow.
