According to a report released this week by RealtyTrac, College Station was listed as having one of the nation's lowest foreclosure rates.
In its year-end 2009 Metropolitan Foreclosure Market Report, RealtyTrac ranked the top 203 metro areas in the United States. Bryan-College Station was outranked by only six other U.S. cities, and had the lowest foreclosure rates of any other Texas metro area in the report.
For College Station specifically, only three foreclosures were reported in December, which equates to 1 in every 11,571 housing units.
To contrast, the Las Vegas metro area topped the list with 1 out of every 8 housing units under foreclosure in 2009.
