A Bryan couple was taken to the hospital Tuesday evening after their home caught fire.
When Bryan firefighters arrived at a house in the 700 block of Dumas Street just after 6 p.m., flames were shooting out of the back windows.
The fire began in a bedroom and was destroyed, fire officials said. There was smoke damage throughout the home.
A husband and wife were taken to St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan with minor burn injuries. No one else was injured.
The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
