Bryan’s Sam Houston Elementary School will have a new principal this fall.

The Bryan ISD Board of Trustees named Holly Scott to replace Dr. Colleen Netterville, who left the district to take the superintendent’s job for Weimar ISD. Scott has been an educator for 15 years, 14 of those in Bryan. She has worked as a math teacher, professional development specialist and district math coordinator. Scott earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Texas A&M.

Meantime, officials with College Station ISD have announced two new assistant principals for the high school.

Gwen Elder will take over as an Assistant Principal at A&M Consolidated High School. Elder started as a receptionist for CSISD in 1991 and began teaching and coaching in 2002. She earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of North Alabama, and her master’s from Sam Houston State.

Kelly Kovacs has also been chosen as an Assistant Principal at Consol. Kovacs began working for CSISD in 1999 as a trainer at the high school. She has recently worked half her time as a High School Testing Coordinator, and the other half has been spent as an English teacher. Kovacs received her bachelor’s from Texas A&M, and her master’s from Sam Houston.
