Officials in College Station ISD are sending home letters regarding nutrition options for the 2007-2008 school year.
The letters offer information regarding prepaying meals for students, as well as free and reduced meal plans.
Parents are encouraged to prepay for meals by putting money on their child’s account, which eliminates the need for lunch money each day.
District officials say meal prices will remain the same this year as they were last year. Students in kindergarten through fourth grade will pay $1.00 for breakfast and $1.75 for lunch, fifth through twelfth graders will pay $1.00 for breakfast and $2.00 for lunch. Students on the reduced meal plan will pay 30-cents for breakfast and 40-cents for lunch. Adults and visitors for lunch will pay $1.25 for breakfast and $2.50 for lunch.
Applications are available for those in need of free and reduced-price meals.
