A domestic dispute took a terrifying turn in Conroe where a man is accused of dousing his girlfriend with gas and setting her on fire. Authorities have charged John Dodd with murder after Terry Lee died from her injuries Sunday night. His bond is set at $250,000.

Investigators said Dodd and Lee had returned home late Saturday when the two began arguing. At some point, authorities say Dodd tossed gasoline on Lee then lit it.

Dodd told emergency responders Lee was burned by an unexplained explosion in the couple's kitchen. But authorities didn't believe him.

Lee was a CPS caseworker in Montgomery County.
