WASHINGTON (AP) - President Bush has nominated a former judge in Dallas to join the New Orleans-based Fifth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.
The nomination of Catharina Haynes faces U.S. Senate approval.
Haynes rejoined the litigation department of Baker Botts in Dallas this year after serving eight years as a judge of the 191st District Court.
She was an associate, then partner of Baker Botts from 1988 to 1998.
Haynes is a native of Melbourne, Florida. She earned a law degree from Emory University.
