Four Plead Guilty in Abduction of Richardson Man

DALLAS (AP) - Four people charged in a May drug-related kidnapping that included shots fired outside a Wal-Mart have pleaded guilty in Dallas.

The victim, Carlos Moreno Esquivel of Richardson, was found alive in a trailer.

Salomon Bocanegra, Juan Jose Ornelas-Castro, Heberto Bocanegra and Damarius Ornelas-Castro pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit kidnapping, kidnapping, using interstate communication facilities to demand ransom, and using, carrying and brandishing a firearm during or in relation to a violent crime.

Sentencing is October tenth. The maximum penalty is life in prison.

Co-defendant Sylvia Rodriguez faces trial August 13th.

Meanwhile, the victim awaits trial on a charge of participating in a methamphetamine distribution conspiracy.
