High schoolers from across the state showed off their military skills Saturday in College Station.

Sixteen high school drill teams competed for top honors as Texas A&M hosted the state championship for the Naval Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps.

Teams had to perform complex maneuvers and other various drills in hopes of advancing to the nationals.

The Texas A&M NROTC battalion is one of the largest units in the nation with approximately 360 midshipmen.

Thank you for spotlighting our school Clay & it was nice to meet you. The footage is great...of course, I might be a bit biased, since our son appears in it. LOL
