Houston Residents Become Lasting Part of Texas A&M

Two Houston residents will soon be immortalized by a new Texas A&M University landmark.

In a groundbreaking ceremony held Wednesday morning, the Texas A&M Foundation began the development of a new fountain.

The water feature, which will be called the Gruy Fountain, is named after its benefactors, former Bryan resident Rae T. Gruy and former aggie H.J Gruy, class of 1937.

The landmark will be located in front of the Jon L. Hagler Center on campus, and will feature an elaborate two-tiered design structure, along with water jets, seating and lighting.
